Would you like to enhance or restore a native prairie ecosystem on your property?
The Prairie Landowner Guide for Western Washington, has some great information on techniques to prepare the land, native species, and the history and importance of prairie landscapes. It is, however, 115 pages, and weighted toward south-sound prairies.
We are able to provide region-specific insight based on our experience and the experiences of other landowners on Whidbey, whom we have advised on establishing native prairie patches or meadows on their property.

Do you have questions about just what plants are on your property?
Plant identification apps can help, but we are always happy to look at photos of plants. Stop by the office or the native plant center to show us the plant in question or send us an email.
Do you have some native plants from which we could collect seed to further propagate them?
Let us know what plants you have, and we will get you on our list of private property partners.
